Almost there...

i've finished crocheting up all my pieces for my Moderne Jacket and got a little stuck on what would the best way to seam it up would be.  so i'm waiting for some responses while i'm blocking the garments tonight, and hopefully seaming it tomorrow, and finishing the jacket/buttons/collar later this week.

in the meantime, i've started on a vest for my 2 year old for Easter.  this is a knit project, and i will show you my progress in pictures soon....

CAL

so, yes, i'm a nerd. i've decided to join an online crochet a long. and i thought that posting it here on my ComPosition blog for my arts and hobbies was perfect.

i started it initially because i really liked the finished garment (see at right the finished garment), and i thought that maybe, i would actually finish a project if i had a community to keep up with. I've been doing this for about 1.5 weeks now, and i am loving it. but what i am finding is that having a group of people who are complete strangers giving you comments, inspiring, and having fun together talking about *lighter* side of life is surprisingly uplifting in this time we are all facing.

it's been fun. i've enjoyed talking with other crocheters and working together to solve problems, and seeing how other projects are coming along. i particularly like this jacket, as it's been easy and quick to crochet up.
i have completed the back, and am 1/2 way finished with the left front side. here is how mine looks so far:
