kelly

my buttony sweater is completed.  it is knit top-down raglan style, and it is my first sweater of that sort.  the sweater turned out big, but i'm going to try to wash and block to see if it will regain it's shape.  i altered this particular sweater to be short-sleeved instead of long, and added these stone/slate looking buttons:

yarn:  vanna's choice solids.  cheap-o yarn to make sure i liked the end result and if there are any changes i want to make (my standard "first draft" yarn).  this particular yarn is pretty lofty.  i don't know if i like it all that much in this sweater as it does lend itself to much bulk.
color:  kelly green. makes me think of spring.  it's bright, fun, and warm.

my next project?  hopefully the sexy vesty and slouchy hat.  see 'em on ravelry.
but i have made myself promise to finish the moderne jacket before starting anything else...
...we'll see.
